Jeffrey Alexis, M.D.

Jeffrey Alexis, M.D. From 1998 until September 2003, Dr. Alexis was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Alexis joined the Cardiology Unit at the University of Rochester in October of 2003. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, and has both research as well as clinical responsibilities.

Dr. Alexis is involved in research in the Center for Cellular and Molecular Cardiology, which is in the Kornberg Medical Research Building, and attends on the Heart Failure and Transplant Clinical Service. Dr. Alexis’ research interests include smooth muscle cell proliferation, the role of smooth muscle cells as inflammatory mediators, and signaling pathways that regulate transplant arteriopathy.
