Joseph M. Delehanty, M.D.

Dr. Delehanty

Dr. Delehanty is Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Cardiovascular Center. He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College. and received his post-graduate medical training in internal medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital, where he also served as chief medical resident. His training in cardiovascular disease also was at Strong Memorial Hospital.

 

Dr. Delehanty’s clinical interests are in the management of acute coronary heart disease and chronic congestive heart failure. His research interests have focused on adrenergic mechanisms in heart failure, as well as control of peripheral vascular tone. He is currently involved in the investigation of vascular physiology in heart failure and the role vascular reactivity plays in the response to the treatment of heart failure.
